There are too many tabs!
Here’s the big challenge - online shopping often requires shifting through different websites, and it’s a hassle having to deal with numerous open tabs and the possibility of losing track of items across different sites, which results in an monotonous loop of switching back and forth between tabs to check multiple shopping carts and saved for later lists.
As someone who online shops a lot, I believe that online shoppers need a way to keep track of all the items they want from all the different websites they browse through.
Smart-kart offers the smart solution
Smart-kart extension helps users organize all their wishlist items into one place by bookmarking all web pages into a single collective through a Chrome extension. For this project, I was in charge of visual branding and the overall UI design. Code is in progress by an engineering friend.

Reflection
Since this is a small-scale concept project, I wanted to keep the goal simple and straightforward. I minimized the amount of features so that the purpose of the extension and how to use it is immediately intuitive to the user. This was also my first time adding animations to the prototype, and I think it’s important to ensure that the timings of the animations do not distract the user from the task.
